안녕하세요. 오랜만에 자료가 업로드 되었습니다.
이번에는 96년도 초심자를 위한 Poll의 결과입니다. 참여해주신 분들께 감사드립니다.
예바동에 처음오신 Prog Rock에 입문하시는 분들에게 도움이 되었으면 합니다.
자신과 취향이 비슷한 분을 찾아보는 것도 재미있을 겁니다.

총 16분이 참여해 주셨습니다. 외국인들도 참여하는 Poll이었다는 데 큰 의미가 있었습니다. 안타깝게 Krutzen은 Poll에 참여하고 탈퇴 하셨군요. Finnegans Wake 만큼이나 난해하다는 평이었습니다. (농담입니다)

모두들 베스트 앨범을 골라주셨습니다. 얼마나 힘드셨을까요?
하나같이 명반들이라 점수를 매기기 힘들다고 하신 분들도 많으셨습니다. 여기도 포함하고, 다른 앨범도 넣고 싶어 이게 베스트(?)이고 저게 아니라고 말하기도 어려운 노릇.

어쨌든 한장만 고르라고 하신 분, 시간, 장소를 가려 베스트를 꼽아주신 분, 장르별로.. Poll의 취지에 맞게 참여는 안했지만, 그냥 이런 저런 얘기를 하시는 분들이 계셔서 이번 Poll에서 이름만 빼드렸습니다. 양해해주시기 바랍니다.

그리고 스펠링이 틀리면 어쩌나 걱정했는데, 스펠링이 틀린 부분이 있었습니다. 오타도 틀린 부분도 있었습니다. 그러나 너그럽게 봐주십시오. 그리고 여러 comment를 다 받아보려는데요. Poll에 대해 한 말씀 해주시죠.

처음 질문입니다.

1. What SONG(s) do you think is the best in the progressive rock?

역시 각 밴드에 대해 베스트 앨범이나 곡을 고르는데 다른 의견이 많은 분들이 계셨습니다. 당연한걸까요? 그러면 밴드별로 얼마나 표를 얻었는지 보시겠습니다.

3표 이상을 얻은 밴드입니다. 역시 이탈리아 프로그레시브 밴드들이 슈퍼그룹들을 제치고 수위를 차지했군요. King Crimson이 당당히 1위를 차지했습니다. Genesis, Yes가 아쉽겠네요. Gentle Giant, VDGG는 아쉽게 순위에 못들었습니다. Caravan이 의외로 선전했습니다. 이탈리아 밴드들이 대단하군요. 퓨전, 심포닉, 포크, 프렌치 등 장르별로 나눈 차트도 만들어보았습니다.

최고의 곡

  1. King Crimson - Red - Starless (5)

    역시 King Crimson의 Red 앨범에 있는 Starless가 1위입니다. 이건 예상 못했습니다. 초기의 King Crimson도 대단하지만 역시 한 곡만 고르라면, King Crimson 중에서 한 곡만 고르라면 Starless를 꼽는 분이 많아서 저도 놀랐습니다. 다른 분들이 골라주신 걸로 보면 역시 명곡이라는 생각이 드는군요. 그리고, 아방가르드나, 캔터베리, 제울 등등의 아티스트들이 순위에 없군요.

예. 이럴수가? 1위 밴드를 예상하면서 설문지를 봤는데, Yes가 압도적인 지지를 얻었습니다. King Crimson은 Starless로 선전하고, 앨범은 아니라는 말인지??? *:-)

어쨌든 이탈리아 프로그레시브의 강세는 여전합니다. Latte E Miele, PFM, Il Balletto Di Bronzo가 모두 퓨전 밴드로 선전했습니다. 전체 순위 중에서는 한 장르만 있는 것이 아니라 여러 장르가 섞여있는데, 퓨전 장르 중에서 한 앨범만 있는 것이 아니라 두 앨범씩이나 있다는 건 무슨 의미일까요?(외국에 나가있는 분들이 많아서 그런건 아닐까 조심스럽게 생각해봅니다. 이 경우에 이 분들은 한국에 계시는 분들과 취향이 좀 다르시더군요 *:)

그럼 전체 순위는 어떨까요? 앨범 순위가 나왔습니다.

최고의 앨범

    1위는 Yes가 차지했습니다. Yes의 앨범 중에서 Close to the Edge를 좋아하는 분들이 지난번 조사에서도 상당히 큰 영향을 미친 것 같습니다. 첫번째 질문에서 선전했던 Gentle Giant와 Latte E Miele의 앨범이 순위에 올랐습니다. 그리고 Beatles의 앨범을 골라주신 분도 있네요. 다른 장르의 Beatles를 꼽아주신 분도 있어서 놀랐습니다.
